Gorilla Technology and Yotta Data Services Sign Landmark AI Infrastructure Deal for India's Sovereign AI Buildout
Gorilla Technology and Yotta Sign Binding GPU Deployment Agreement
On March 16, 2026, Gorilla Technology Group Inc. (NASDAQ: GRRR) announced binding agreements with Yotta Data Services to deploy GPU infrastructure in India of approximately 640 high-performance NVIDIA HGX B200 servers with more than 5,000 GPUs for AI workloads. This deployment is expected to contribute more than $500 million in revenue over the next five years.
Infrastructure Deployment and Technical Specifications
Gorilla will provide GPU infrastructure under a long-duration commercial model, while Yotta will implement and operate the GPUs in accordance with NVIDIA Reference Architecture at its Uptime Tier IV NM1 Data Centre in Navi Mumbai, delivering AI compute services including hyperscale GPU clusters, bare-metal GPUs, virtual machines, AI lab workstations, serverless GPUs and AI model endpoints to enterprises and government customers.
Under the agreement, Gorilla will provide the GPU infrastructure, while Yotta will operate the GPUs at its Navi Mumbai datacentre to deliver AI compute services.
Strategic Partnership and Sovereign AI Focus
The agreements establish Gorilla as a key infrastructure partner to Yotta, supporting high-performance AI compute deployments across India. The companies have also entered into a strategic framework to pursue additional AI infrastructure opportunities across India and Asia Pacific markets.
Yotta is one of India's most visible digital infrastructure platforms and is well positioned as a leading provider of hyperscale data centres, sovereign cloud and AI compute. Yotta operates two significant hyperscale campuses: a Greater Noida facility currently scalable to 250 MW and a Navi Mumbai campus with a roadmap scaling up to 2 GW.
Yotta's Expanded AI Strategy
Yotta Data Services, the data center arm of Mumbai-based real estate major Hiranandani Group, has launched Shakti-Cloud, a Super Computer of 16 Exaflops Artificial Intelligence (AI) computing power.
Yotta Data Services is preparing a substantially larger AI infrastructure push, with plans to invest about $7 billion by FY27 as demand for high-performance compute continues to reshape India's data centre and cloud market. The company's current expansion plan includes deploying 40,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs over the next four months and scaling total GPU capacity to roughly 85,000 chips by the end of FY27.
Context: India's Sovereign AI Buildout
The agreement was driven by New Delhi's push to build sovereign AI capabilities to protect national data and cater to domestic needs. Yotta has also been empanelled under the IndiaAI Mission and NVIDIA has described it as India's first Reference Platform NVIDIA Cloud Partner and among only six globally in that category.
For Indian enterprises, the buildout comes at a time when AI adoption is moving from experimentation to deployment across banking, IT services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and public-sector use cases. Local access to advanced GPU capacity can influence model training, fine-tuning, inference economics and data governance.
