House of Hiranandani Launches 'PierPop' — Month-Long Waterfront Festival at Ballard Pier, South Mumbai
A Month-Long Waterfront Activation Takes Shape at Ballard Pier
PierPop opened June 21 and runs through July 23, 2026. Developed by House of Hiranandani in partnership with The Ballard Pier Downtown Experience Centre, the festival aims to transform the city's historic waterfront into a recurring destination offering sports, food, shopping, entertainment and cultural programming.
The festival brings together sport, food, culture, retail and live programming across the pier, designed to run through the monsoon as a recurring destination rather than a single-day event. Weekly footfall is expected to cross 7,500.
Four Anchor Experiences
PierPop features four anchor experiences: NautiPickle, India's first indoor air-conditioned pickleball arena with eight courts; NautiTrax, an indoor go-karting track spanning 295 metres; Nauti Baro Market, a curated lifestyle and retail market featuring brands from over 25 cities; and Pier Pantry curated by The Nommers, a food market celebrating local produce and artisanal finds.
NautiPickle's courts include seven Harbour Courts and one Captain's Court VIP experience, operating Monday through Sunday from 7 AM to 2 AM. Coaching sessions are available on request.
Programming and Activities Beyond the Anchors
Beyond the four anchors, programming includes a children's activity zone, Nautiverse, Cinema by the Sea on select evenings, Nauti-Wheels RC, motorsport activations, Hyrox Training, Kids at Work, a construction playground for kids, The Reading Nook for kids, creative workshops by Art for Akanksha, wellness and beauty experiences, and a Seaside Park open to the public throughout the run.
Across the pier, visitors will find soundscapes and DJ sets at Wavelengths, curated food stops, a waterfront bar and wellness experiences.
Early Response and Expected Attendance
Organisers said the festival has witnessed encouraging footfall since opening on June 21, with families, young professionals, fitness enthusiasts and tourists visiting the South Mumbai venue over successive weekends. Weekly visitor numbers are expected to exceed 7,500 as the event continues until July 23.

Ballard Pier and South Mumbai's Waterfront Revival
The Ballard Pier Downtown Experience Centre is set across over an acre of seafront land in South Mumbai's historic Ballard Estate neighbourhood. It features India's first privately run world-class international Cruise Terminal establishing Mumbai as a key destination in maritime tourism across the world and enhancing the city's reputation as a vibrant port city.
Designed by architect George Wittet between 1909 and 1914, Ballard Estate spans 22 acres of land reclaimed from the sea and remains instantly recognisable for its Edwardian neoclassical style. In recent years, Ballard Estate has attracted luxury retail and art spaces, adding to its appeal as a destination for shoppers and art enthusiasts. Notable additions include the textile and fashion store Tilfi and designer Tarun Tahiliani's boutique, offering high-end Indian fashion. The area also features art galleries such as Galerie ISA and IF.BE. These new establishments contribute to Ballard Estate's blend of cultural, historical, and luxury offerings.
The festival comes at a time when Mumbai's eastern waterfront is witnessing renewed attention through redevelopment initiatives aimed at improving public access and promoting tourism. Organisers say PierPop is intended to complement these efforts by activating Ballard Pier with experiences spread across sports, retail, food and culture.
